read a book, go for a walk, go to the library, look online (like elance) for freelance or volunteer things you can do from home or local....

I've been in sort of the same boat. Everyone disappears once you're on break from school. I watch a lot of movies- when I'm bored and pretty much whenever I can. I find movies really entertaining, like a break from real life. To make it cheaper you could rent, or try netflix. I've been thinking of getting netflix forever now but still haven't, its not too expensive. You could read some books, if you don't know what you like, look up a list of classic books or books everyone should read and go from there. I volunteer at a local humane society, but that's probably not doable for you since you don't have a car. Maybe take up jogging? That could pass some time. I don't know if you're a guy or a girl but you could go to your local craft store and figure out something to do there (Knitting, scrap booking, etc) The trick is to always buy stuff on sale, if you find a good deal whether you need it or not, just get it! Coloring sounds lame but it's relaxing. You could clean to pass time, which scores brownie points with your parents. Thats all I can really think of. Good luck! I hope you can figure something out!
